Our COVID safety measures
On reopening again we have measures ready in place to fully comply with government guidance for safe cinemas and to offer you confidence and comfort on your return.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Palace as soon as possible and are so sorry we have had to close again following the Government’s instructions for another national lockdown.
BUYING TICKETS
We automatically block out empty seats around each individual or group booking to allow social distancing. With this reduced capacity, we recommend booking ahead.
- Allocated seats (no free seating): When you select your seat/s, our box office system automatically blocks out a circle of empty seats around you/your group. If visiting in a group (household or social bubble), please book all seats in a single transaction to ensure that you can sit together.
- Booking online Your seat number/s are on your booking confirmation email; please bring it with you as a print-out or on your phone.
- Booking in person or buying on the day Your seat number/s are on your tickets.
NHS TEST & TRACE
- When taking your advance booking, we ask for contact details.
- For App users, we have the QR code on the wall in entrance foyer.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
- Face coverings for staff and audience members (age 11+) At all times except when consuming food/drink in your seat. If you are exempt from mask wearing for medical reasons – please let us know. If you forget yours, we’re happy to supply you with one.
- One-way system Use floor markings to ensure social distancing. Use rear door to leave cinema at the end of the film.
- Perspex ‘sneeze screens’ in entrance foyer at box office and food/drink area.
- Ladies and Gents Toilet areas are now one person or ‘bubble’ in/one out; the waiting area in rear foyer allows for up to two people to wait.
HYGIENE
- Touch-free hand sanitiser dispensers at front and rear doors.
- Air conditioning in auditorium continuously cleans and refreshes the air.
- Food/drink No unpackaged or self-service food or drink for sale.
- Litter Please take litter home with you or use bin provided.
- Longer gaps between films This allows you more time to leave the cinema safely. It also allows us the time for enhanced cleaning of the auditorium, foyers and Ladies/Gents ready for the next screening. We encourage audience members to use contactless card payment at box office and for food/drink.
