Palace Goodwill Hires

The Palace is glad to hire to education and community groups and support them to deliver wonderful screenings and events.

We understand, however, that for some groups the funds required for venue and film hire either can’t be found or can’t be guaranteed to be ‘made back’ in ticket sales

For groups such as these we are pleased to offer the opportunity to apply for one of our three annual Goodwill Hires, for which the Palace will cover all overheads, staffing, preparation, and hosting for free. We are a local family-run business, glad to support the local community which supports the Palace year-round. 

To be eligible to apply, your group must be non-profit and community focussed, and we ask you to please email us including all the details below. We’re happy to receive applications from all, in particular events which are organised in collaboration with local young people under 25, or which directly support local community groups and initiatives. 

Please note that we require a minimum of 2 months’ notice before a hire.

  4. Date for your screening/event: Exact date or possible days/dates (this date must be at least 2 months from now).
  5. Time for your screening/event: Morning, afternoon or evening.
  6. Your screening/event idea: Include as much detail as you can about what you’d like to do.
  7. Tell us why your group is applying for a Goodwill Hire.
